There are rules and sequences of how to bet in online casino poker games. Betting is actually done in a sequence clockwise from the dealer.  When you are playing casino poker online, you need not be worried about how betting actually tables place online because unless it is your turn the online casino poker program does not allow you to be betting.
In Texas holdem poker games the betting begins after the forced betting rounds.  In stud games, there are going to be a series of down cards and up cards used to decide who will be betting first in each round.  The betting round continues until no player in the table has any money to put in to betting.
In many games, the betting is limited by the number of raises that can be made in the table.  If there was no limit on the number of raises that can be made in a table, in cases of no limit games, there will be no option to go to the next round.  Some players might exhaust players by betting more and more in the same round.  It is for this reason that in an online casino poker game there is a limitation on the number of bets that one can make in poker.
